Investors Hunt For Value Across Asset-Based Financing

Our Chief Strategy Officer, Blake Eger, recently spoke with Anna-Marie Beal of PERE Credit to discuss the growth of real estate credit within the broader asset-based finance ecosystem, including her insight into how institutional investors are evaluating these strategies within their portfolios.

“When you look at something like residential mortgage loans in one pool [you can] be allocated to hundreds, if not thousands, of individual loans. In a direct-lending portfolio of the same size, you’re going to have well under 100 names, maybe under 50 names. [Residential loans are] less concentrated in exposure, and I think investors can get comfortable with that.”
