Women at the Forefront of Alternative Investments

Blake Eger, a Senior Portfolio Manager at Saluda Grade, specializes in managing income-oriented private credit portfolios with a focus on residential real estate credit. With extensive experience in residential housing and structured credit, Eger has held key positions at renowned financial institutions.

Prior to joining Saluda Grade, Eger served as a Portfolio Manager of structured products at Paloma Partners, where she honed her expertise in managing investment portfolios. Before Paloma, she held the position of Head of Strategic Investments at Redwood Trust, where she developed and managed investments secured by housing and mortgage credit.

Eger’s illustrious career also includes roles such as co-manager of a $1 billion fund at Structured Portfolio Management (SPM), specializing in investments in bonds secured by residential loans and managing associated risks. She also managed a $1 billion portfolio dedicated to non-agency RMBS at Bank of America/Merrill Lynch.

Eger commenced her career at Bear, Stearns, & Co., where she gained valuable experience on the securitized products desk.

Eger holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Colgate University.
