Bruce Zimmerman

Strategic Advisor

Bruce Zimmerman is a Strategic Advisor to Saluda Grade. He works with executive leadership to strengthen the firm’s institutional positioning, expand relationships, support governance, and enhance overall platform growth. Most recently, he advised Tresalia, a prominent high-net-worth family office. Previously, he served as the first CIO for Ray Dalio’s family office. Prior to that, he was CEO and CIO of the University of Texas Investment Management Company (UTIMCO), where he oversaw the growth of assets from $20 billion to $40 billion and led a team that generated $4.5 billion in value add. 

Earlier in his career, Mr. Zimmerman served as CIO of Citigroup’s $13 billion pension plan, CFO of Citigroup Alternative Investments, and held leadership roles at Bain & Company and JPMorgan Chase. He has served on the boards of Vistra Energy, the Duke University Investment Management Committee (DUMAC), and as Vice Chair of CommonFund. Mr. Zimmerman graduated magna cum laude from Duke University and earned First- and Second-Year Honors at Harvard Business School.
